The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 will be priced at GBP 8450 in the UK. Expect the manufacturer to peg the bike at around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, which will be over Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the Trident 660.
Triumph has equipped the Tiger Sport 660 with a TFT instrument cluster with an LCD inset. It is compatible with optional My Triumph smartphone connectivity. This module allows the rider to use other features such as turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro control, and phone music control as well. For easy touring, the bike gets a 17-litre fuel tank, integrated pannier mounting points in the tail panels, and a tool-less height-adjustable windscreen. The switchgear also features four-directional buttons for easy navigation through menus.
The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is powered by the same 660cc inline-triple as the Trident 660. It also makes the same output figures: 81PS at 10,250rpm and 64Nm at 6250rpm, linked to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. Electronic aids include a switchable traction control, two riding modes (Road and Rain), and dual-channel ABS.
The road-biased ADV is based on the Trident 660, but has been tweaked extensively to suit its demeanour. It gets a long-travel 41mm inverted fork and an inverted rear monoshock with remote preload adjustment – both from Showa — offering a 150mm wheel travel. Braking is via twin 310mm discs with Nissin sliding calipers and a 255mm rear disc with Nissin caliper, along with standard dual-channel ABS. The 17-inch alloys on both ends are wrapped in Michelin Road 5 road-biased tyres. The bike weighs 206kg kerb, 17kg heavier than the Trident 660.
