The Panigale V4 gets tons of riding aids like traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, slide control, launch control, and a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard. All of these riding aids are linked to a six-axis IMU to give the rider a better grip on the rocket ship. All of these can be controlled via the switch cube located on the left clip-on bar and the color 5-inch TFT screen.
The Ducati Panigale V4 is powered by a BS6-compliant 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 motor that pumps out an impressive 217PS at 13,000 rpm and 124Nm at 10,000 rpm. It gets a counter-rotating crankshaft to reduce the gyroscopic effect of the engine and also to control wheelies to a certain extent. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a hydraulically actuated slip-and-assist clutch.
Suspension duties on the standard Ducati Panigale V4 are handled by a 43mm Showa BPF USD fork and Sachs monoshock affixed onto a single-sided aluminum swingarm, both units fully adjustable. If you opt for the Panigale V4 S, you get the 43mm Ohlins NIX 30 USD fork and Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock. These units are electronically adjustable for compression and rebound settings while preload on the latter unit is still a manual affair. Braking hardware remains common across both variants with the front wheel fitted with Brembo’s Stylema monobloc calipers chomping down on 330mm rotors. At the rear, you get a 245mm disc with a two-piston Brembo sliding caliper. Super grippy Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP rubber remains standard. However, the standard variant gets 5-spoke cast aluminum wheels and the S variant rolls on 3-spoke Marchesini forged aluminum wheels.
The Ducati Panigale V4 rivals the BMW S 1000 R, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
and Honda CBR1000RR-R.
