Hero Xtreme 160R Price:
The Hero Xtreme 160R’s price is Rs 1,17,148 (for the base rear drum brake variant). The standard Hero Xtreme 160R (dual disc variant) will set you back by Rs 1,20,498. The Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition retails at Rs 1,22,338 (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is available in four colours: Pearl Silver White, Vibrant Blue, Sports Red and Matte Black (Stealth Edition).
Hero Xtreme 160R Features:
The most notable feature on the Xtreme 160R is the segment-first all-LED lighting system. It also gets a fully digital instrument cluster with side stand indicator apart from the regular trove of information. While it features a ‘Welcome Message’ feature, there’s no real time mileage indicator, which the more affordable Hero Passion Pro 110 gets. The streetfighter also comes with a hazard lamp warning function for better safety. Hero has equipped the bike with single-channel ABS as standard on both the variants. The Stealth Edition comes with a brightness-adjustable instrument cluster, gear position indicator, and a USB charging port under the handlebar.
Hero Xtreme 160R Engine:
The Hero Xtreme 160R is powered by an all-new 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine. It makes 15.2PS at 8500rpm and 14Nm at 6500rpm and works in tandem with a 5-speed transmission. In comparison, the most powerful bike in the segment, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, produces 17.2PS and 14.6Nm. Hero MotoCorp claims the Xtreme 160R can accelerate from 0-60kmph in 4.7 seconds.
Hero Xtreme 160R Suspension & Brakes:
The Hero Xtreme 160R is built on a tubular diamond frame linked to a 37mm telescopic front fork and a 7-step preload adjustable rear monoshock. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 100-section front (tubeless) and a 130-section rear (radial tubeless) rubber. For braking, the bike uses a 276mm front petal disc while the rear gets either a 220mm petal disc or a 130mm drum, depending on the variant. In any case, single-channel ABS is standard. In terms of heft, it weighs 138.5kg for the base variant and 139.5kg for the rear disc brake-equipped variant.

The Hero Xtreme 160R is a competitively priced, sporty-looking, feature-packed offering in the 160cc streetfighter segment, which is currently dominated by the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ-S Fi Version 3.0. In its price bracket, you also have alternatives like the Bajaj Chetak electric, Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc, TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and TVS Apache RTR 180.
